Amazon and your data
Why Xolt's numbers differ from Seller Central
The six usual reasons a total in Xolt is not the one you see in a Seller Central report, and how to reconcile them.
Ordered versus settled
Seller Central's Business Reports count by order date; Xolt's profit counts by the date Amazon posts the money. A sale on the 30th usually settles in the next month. Compare ordered sales with Business Reports and settled profit with your payouts, never across.
Dates and time zones
Xolt keys every day by the marketplace's local date, as Amazon does in its reports. A report downloaded in another time zone, or one covering a different range, shifts units between days.
Refunds
Xolt subtracts refunds in the month Amazon posts them, which is often a later month than the sale. A month can therefore show more refunds than orders for a product that sold well the month before.
Tax and promotions
Tax Amazon collects is stored but never counted as sales. Promotion rebates and coupon costs reduce net sales. Seller Central's headline sales usually include tax and exclude promotions, so they run higher.
Currencies
Totals across marketplaces are converted at the day's European Central Bank rate, or the month's average for monthly totals. A Seller Central report in one currency and a Xolt total in another will differ by the rate.
Costs
Profit includes only products with a unit cost, and the page says how many are left out. Add the missing costs and the total moves up to match the full catalog.
