Understanding your numbers
Ordered vs settled numbers
Why sales on the Overview and profit can come from different data, and when numbers are final.
Two lenses
Ordered numbers come from Amazon's sales and traffic reports: units, sessions, conversion and ordered sales by order date. They arrive within about a day, so they are good for spotting trends quickly.
Settled numbers come from Amazon's financial transactions: what was actually charged, refunded and reimbursed, by posted date. All profit and margins use settled data, so they match what Amazon pays you.
Provisional months
Settlements keep arriving for a few days after a month ends. Xolt marks the current month as provisional until it closes, and writes the monthly plan on the 3rd of the next month so late settlements are included.
Conversion and Buy Box
Conversion is units ordered divided by sessions, always calculated from totals rather than averaging daily percentages. Buy Box percentage is weighted by page views.
