Getting started
Add product and fixed costs
Unit costs per SKU with dates, the CSV import, and fixed monthly costs.
Unit costs
A unit cost belongs to a SKU and applies from a date until the next cost for that SKU. Enter the product cost, and optionally inbound freight and any other per-unit cost. Xolt uses the cost in effect on each day, so a supplier price change in March does not rewrite January.
For variations, you can set one cost for every SKU under a parent ASIN at once.
Importing a CSV
Download the template from the Costs page. The columns sku, effective_from (as 2026-01-31) and unit_cost are required; inbound_freight, other_unit_cost and currency are optional. Files can have up to 10,000 rows and 1 MB.
Xolt checks the whole file first. If any line has a problem, nothing is imported and you get a list of every problem with its line number, so you can fix the file and try again.
Fixed costs
Fixed costs are monthly amounts not tied to a product, such as salaries, software or a warehouse. They are subtracted from CM3 to give net profit for the workspace.
Missing costs
A SKU with sales but no cost shows "cost missing" instead of a profit number, and the workspace totals tell you how many SKUs are missing. Xolt never assumes a cost of zero.
